I started sewing at nine years old. My mom taught me the basics, and I taught myself the rest. By my mid-teens, I worked from Vogue Patterns, and those instructions introduced me to couture hand sewing techniques, precise, patient stitching done away from a machine.I spent twenty-five years teaching Business in Ontario secondary schools and trained instructors for Husqvarna Viking. In 2026, I founded Make It Sew Studio in Cooksville, Mississauga, to teach sewing the way I first learned it, hands-on, at your own pace, without pressure to be perfect.
